Bambi is Back is an examination of modern motherhood in a world that has lost its connection to nature.

Bambi moves with his mother and father into the shadow of an amusement park – in what was once a forest – to live a seemingly safe and sheltered life. But the idyll is shattered. The mother feels how she is slowly losing herself in trying to take care of those she loves most, and in trying to live up to both her own and society's ideals. In the encounter with the forest, she must let go of the idea of ​​the all-sacrificing mother and come to terms with the forces that have shaped her. The family comes under pressure when the balance between love, care, independence and self-sacrifice begins to slip.

But Hannibal doesn't think it's as much fun as when his father was a boy, so he just hangs on. It's not until the talking dog, Jerry, moves in that everyday life gets a bit of color, and the two become the best of friends in the world.
